Working or being in training is great for most people but it can be a problem if there is homophobia or transphobia about. There's no need to worry though. there is loads of legislation to protect you at work and we can point you in the right direction if you need it and we are always here to listen
Being insulted, harrassed or abused because of your sexual orientation or gender identity is really upsetting. Sometimes it can be enough jsut to find someone to talk to about it, but in other cases the offender may have committed what is known as a 'hate crime' and you can formally report their behaviour if you want to. Occasionally, the first place where young people hear negative view is from thier parents. We have loads of advice for parents coming to terms with ther child being LGBTQ and we can also help you deal with any harrassment you might encounter.
It can be difficult for everybody at times to ask for help from a doctor and this can seem twice as hard ifit means telling them for the first time that you are LGBTQ. We don't want you to put up with feeling ill or depressed for a second longer than you need to, so let us know if you want any advice, info or help getting health info.
