Lesbian
Lesbian is a term that is used to describe a girl or woman that is attracted to other women for physical and/or emotional reasons. Sometimes women will use it to describe their own sexual orientation but they may also use other terms such as dyke or gay to self identify. Some people find Lesbian a difficult term to use as they dont like to be labelled but as a rule its the kind of official term that forms or monitoring documents would use. The term homosexual also applies to women as well as men.
