The Intercom Trust and LGBTQ Youth Cornwall are proud to announce having worked closely over many years that they will be amalgamating in 2018.
The Intercom Trust, having sucessfully obtained a major grant from Children in Need will be able to continue and develop the provision of YAY! Young and Yourself! In Cornwall.
Andy Hunt Chief Executive of the Intercom Trust said 'We are proud and delighted to be able to continue the provision of YAY! In Cornwall and with the additional funding we have secured we will be looking to employ a project worker for YAY! to work alongside our existing advocacy support working in Cornwall' 
Steph Towan Chair of Trustees for LGBTQ Youth Cornwall said 'Having been involved with YAY! for several years we knew that we needed to develop the provision and amalgamating with the Intercom Trust has enabled us to secure the future of the youth group'
LGBTQ Youth Cornwall was founded in 2008 and began the Youth Group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender young people and those questioning their Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity in Cornwall.  The Youth Group has become known by the name chosen by the first young people who came to the sessions in 2009 as 'Young and Yourself!  YAY Cornwall'.  YAY has been funded by a variety of grants and donations over the last nine years but over the last five years the major funding provision has been from Children in Need.
The Intercom Trust was founded in 1997 as a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Community resource in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and the wider South West. Providing help support and advocacy against homophobic and transphobic prejudice, crime and discrimination, helping to develop the LGBT communities, providing professional training and consultancy, and working in partnership with local government, the police, health and other organisations.

Our Annual General Meeting will be held in Truro at 6pm on Thursday 9th November, this is an opportunity to hear our annual reports and for decisions about the organisation to be made.
